Friday, March 18, 2022, The Research Center for Biotechnology Universitas Gadjah Mada welcomed an audience visit from the National Committee for Sharia Economic and Financial Affairs (KNEKS). The visit revolved around discussions regarding the collaboration for creating a DNA-based Halal Authentication Tool, which would involve the utilization of the laboratories at The Research Center for Biotechnology Universitas Gadjah Mada.

The discussion was conducted with enthusiasm, leading to further planning regarding the collaboration offer. It is expected that following the visit on Friday (3/18), there will be ongoing communication between The Research Center for Biotechnology Universitas Gadjah Mada and the National Committee for Sharia Economic and Financial Affairs (KNEKS).

Because of the ongoing pandemic situation in Yogyakarta, The Research Center for Biotechnology Universitas Gadjah Mada made every effort to adhere to health protocols as recommended by the government while welcoming this visit and also to promote the third SDG.
