This international workshop was held on April 5th – 9th 2021 and aims to bring together key scientific actors to deliver a complete inventory of all studies on rubber-based agroforestry systems and to define a comprehensive typology of this system to provide new directions in the development of rubber-based agroforestry systems that are more efficient and resilient to global changes.

More specifically, RUBIS international workshop 2021 will discuss the issue under five sub-themes:
1. Agronomy of rubber-based agroforestry systems
2. Socio-economy of rubber-based agroforestry systems
3. Food crops in agroforestry systems
4. Ecosystem services and environmental issues
5. Food security and agroforestry systems

In this forum, identified and implemented strategies in the sub-themes of agronomy of rubber-based agroforestry systems, socio-economy of rubber-based agroforestry systems, food crops in agroforestry systems, ecosystem services and environmental issues, and food security and agroforestry systems were some of the key factors in developing rubber-based agroforestry systems that are more efficient and resilient to global changes. This activity is in accordance with WHO’s efforts to promote the 2nd SDG, namely increasing food security and promoting sustainable agriculture.
