Monday (2/3/2020), The Research Center for Biotechnology Universitas Gadjah Mada, in collaboration with Formind Institute held a discussion session Proteomics and Metabolomics Talk For Human Welfare. This discussion aims to dissect more deeply and broadly about the utilization and development of proteomics and metabolomics in Biotechnology research. A total of 40 participants and invited guests actively participated in the discussion. Apart from UGM, some participants came from various universities and institutions such as UI, UNS, UIN Walisongo Semarang, Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center (Puslitkoka) Jember, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), and HPPBI.

The Biotechnology Study Center at Gadjah Mada University, in collaboration with QAAFI-University of Queensland and Crawford Fund Australia, organized a workshop titled “Capacity Building for Young Scientists on Plant Disease Management.” The workshop featured Professor Andre Drenth from Queensland University as the main speaker. Professor Andre Drenth, a World Class Professor, was invited by the Biotechnology Study Center.
The workshop, held at the Biotechnology Study Center, spanned 5 days from February 10th to 14th, 2020. The event involved 12 selected students from Gadjah Mada University, who actively participated. The participants were provided with valuable training to enhance their presentation skills in English and to develop manuscripts for internationally reputable journals. Additionally, the workshop equipped the participants with the necessary tools to become successful researchers.
