Monitoring of antimicrobial resistance in agroecosystem (MAMRA) is a collaborative work conducted by Center for Biotechnology Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia and Resistomap Oy, Finalnd. The use of antimicrobial agent in human and animal has been proved to imbost the AMR outbreak and threathen the global health. Only few studies focusing on the antimicrobial usage impact in agriculture land. This project aims to monitor and characterize the antimicrobial resistance gene (ARG) abundance and distribution in agriculture land.

On Monday (2/3/2020), the Biotechnology Study Center at Gadjah Mada University, in collaboration with Formind Institute, organized a series of discussions titled “Proteomics and Metabolomics Talk For Human Welfare.” The purpose of these discussions was to delve deeper and wider into the utilization and development of proteomics and metabolomics in the field of Biotechnology. Around 40 participants and invited guests actively took part in the discussion. Apart from UGM, participants came from various universities and institutions such as UI, UNS, UIN Walisongo Semarang, Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Institute (Puslitkoka) Jember, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), and HPPBI.
