Monitoring antimicrobial resistance in agroecosystems (MAMRA) is a collaboration between The Research Center for Biotechnology Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia and Resistomap Oy, Finland. The use of antimicrobial agents in humans and animals has been shown to cause AMR outbreaks and threaten global health. Few studies have focused on the impact of antimicrobial use on livestock. This project aims to monitor and characterize the abundance and distribution of antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs) on farms. This activity is aligned with efforts to promote healthy living for life in accordance with SDG 3.
